Project: Southern Streams Health & Wellness Center
Client: Mary Harvin Transformation Center Community Development
“We are missing the point when we don’t eliminate the blight in our urban communities. It is disconcerting to witness rows of houses with irreparable infrastructure damage and caved roofs not immediately condemned and razed.” — Bishop Donte Hickman
Southern Streams is a five-story, 123,000 sq. ft. health and wellness center for the Broadway East neighborhood of Baltimore City. The design concept includes a new library, health clinic and the corporate headquarters for the Mary Harvin Transformation Center. This office building is more than just bricks and mortar to the neighborhood, it is the centerpiece of a masterplan and represents hope and healing for a neighborhood that has suffered greatly.
